I never liked standing for my mum's photos as a child. It wasn't until I travelled the world with my first proper camera fifteen years ago that I realised my true place in it was behind the lens.

I managed to turn my hobby into a career as a music photographer and magazine picture editor before going freelance in the commercial and portrait fields. My commercial portfolio includes work for Red Bull, Converse, Ford and Microsoft. I've shot production stills for the BBC and ITV.

The last few years have seen me shift focus to wedding photography - I blame my fiancée Gemma for this sentimental streak! Some might not consider it as edgy as my other work (I'm a dad now so let's face it, I'm practically edge-less), but it's far easier to coax a smile from a newlywed couple than it was Dizzee Rascal or The Prodigy!

I love what I do because I love people and through wedding photography, I meet a lot of people!! The warmth, laughter and human connection I aim to encourage and capture in my images give me so much satisfaction and enthusiasm for my work. How could I not appreciate it? Scores of happy people coming together to celebrate something as pure as love and I get to join them... Of course some of them won't remember it the next morning but then that's what the camera's for!

It's a genuine honour.
